Taiwan Center vs. Lights Out
DIAMOND DIVISION
League officials noticed a new player playing for Taiwan Center and when asked for a photo ID, the player was unable to present valid ID.
“We must maintain our integrity, and at the time, we had a valid reason for asking identification,” said stats-keeper Omar Alameddine. “We never saw the player before, we asked for ID and he was unable to present it.”
“If the player is able to present his ID during the Playoffs, he will be allowed to play,” said League Commissioner Hanz Jimenez. “At this time, the game is considered a forfeit.”
Relics vs. Infamous
PLATINUM DIVISION
Infamous jumped to a 12-5 start as the team combined for 5 three-pointers in the first 15 minutes. Infamous cooled off in the 2nd half as Relics knock out Infamous, 69-61.
“Attendance was a huge factor for us,” said Thomas Staunton, Infamous GM.
Staunton connected for 3 three-pointers while Juan Martinez led the team with 20 points and 4 three-pointers. Martinez scored 13 points in the game’s first 15 minutes. Charlie Allen added 12 points and 10 rebounds while Calvin Smith III finished with 8 points.
Ryan Snook led Relics with 14 points and 4 three-pointers while Cisco Acevado finished with 12 points and 4 three-pointers. GM Andrew Knox scored 7 points but the Hall of Famer has to be concerned with James Acevado. The point guard walked off the court with a leg injury and analysts are wondering if he re-aggravated the same injury he suffered from a season ago.
-_- vs. Primetime
GOLD DIVISION
-_- ‘s General Manager Jordan Ramos accounted for 6 assists in the 1st half and it looked like he was ready to break Henry Frierson’s assists record. Primetime tightened up the defense and created a lot of turnovers in the 2nd half as Primetime defeat -_- 64-55.
Ralph Morelos scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while Donald Colford led Primetime with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Rashad Martin was the third player to log a double-double and he finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The team dominated the glass, 47-27.
-_- played without several key players in Chris Mendez and Daniel Torres. Jordan Ramos finished with 21 points and 7 assists while Kevin Chow ended with 4 points and 6 rebounds. AJ Baylon led the team with 18 points and 4 three-pointers.
Boxed Out vs. Lights Out
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Kerry Woodard and Jordan Call combined for 50 of Boxed Out’s 72 points as Boxed Out defeat Lights Out, 72-67.
Boxed Out, the only team to beat Trinicousins this season, was a Runner-up with a 6-2 record. GM Kameron Johnson finished with 8 points and 4 assists while Nick Vasquez added 5 rebounds and 3 points. Call led all players with 21 rebounds.
“It’s clear Jordan Call and Kerry Woodard aren’t LeBronze Division players,” said a league official. “Hopefully we see them in Gold Division next season.”
Kevin Valmonte finished with 26 points while Victor Ng added 11. Cyrus Regalado logged a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Cay Arellano finished with 6 points and 2 three-pointers.
