The longest season of the year comes to an end as Winter 2010 says goodbye to the Regular Season. There is no clear favorite to win the title in any division and the field is wide open as it has ever been. A lot of questions remain unanswered – will -_- PG Jordan Ramos break the assists record? Will Gunnaz finish the season with an undefeated 8-0 record? Which team will win LeBronze Division?

Flava vs. Warriors
DIAMOND DIVISION

Two-time Champions Flava takes on the current Champions, Warriors, for the top seed in the Playoffs.

Flava is 6-1 and they are led by GM Mario Thompson. Thompson won’t be available for the line-up due to his participation in the LA Marathon. While he’s running all 26 miles, who will take over for the Flava franchise?

Kenneth Ubom is averaging 20.7 ppg while both Aesh Dabbas and Michael J are averaging 10.2 ppg. Ubom leads the team with 12 three-pointers and 19 steals. Point guard Ray Hong is expected to run the franchise in Thompson’s absence and he is averaging 7.0 ppg, 1.8 apg.

Warriors are 5-2 and while many fanboys are quick to jump off the Warriors bandwagon this season, the Reigning Champs have delivered. Many expected them to lose their mojo due to the arrival of Buzz Basketball, the return of Flava, and the emergence of Taiwan Center. Even flashy point guard Rob Hernandez of Beermen got more pub than Warriors as of late and Warriors are playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Andrew Knox is averaging 14.7 ppg while Ryan Snook is scoring 17.8 ppg. Cisco Acevado leads the team with 35 three-pointers and he is averaging 24.7 ppg. Warriors is averaging 80.3 ppg up from 78.8 ppg from last season.

B3ST vs. Lights Out
DIAMOND DIVISION

B3ST is 1-5 while Lights Out is 2-4.

Both teams are likely out of the Playoffs but league analysts are wondering if Lights Out can make a strong push at finishing the season with a .500 record.

Eric Kendrick is averaging 13.6 ppg while Jimmy Baker is averaging 16.4 ppg. Baker leads the team with 12 three-pointers while James Crosby leads the team with 4 steals. In 5 games, Lights Out is averaging 59.0 ppg, and close to 4 three-pointers per game.

It’s mind boggling that the rookies have won more games than the former Champions in B3ST. Terrence Martin leads the team with 25.3 ppg while Dion Bailey is averaging 18.5 ppg. Both are former MVPs but this season, both are Most Likely to watch the Playoffs at home.

Beermen vs. B3ST
DIAMOND DIVISION

Earlier this season, there was a lot of hype between Beermen point guard Mike Hernandez and www.superstarbasketball.org cover boy, Terrence Martin. The hype has disappeared thanks to Beermen’s current slide and B3ST’s woeful record, 1-5.

“If B3ST loses B0th games and Buckets happens to win both games, B3ST could finish with the W012st record,” cracks Beermen’s GM Omar Alameddine.

Rob Summers is averaging a team-high 26.8 ppg and leads the team with 15 three-pointers. Alameddine is averaging 6.4 ppg, 2.0 apg while Hernandez is averaging 16.8 ppg. Alameddine has faced attendance problems as of late and he needs to have a full roster suited up. Will Beermen finish the season by clinching a Playoff spot? Beermen and Buzz Basketball are both tied with a 3-3 record. Both teams need to sweep their double-header to keep their Playoffs alive.

Buckets vs. Beermen Show
DIAMOND DIVISION

Former Champions Buckets have steadily made the climb from Gold Division, Platinum Division and the ultra competitive Diamond Division. They’ll most likely finish the season without a notch in the W column but their peers have their respect.

“They made the climb before Relics did,” said a league analyst. “Only a few former Champions have made the climb from Gold to Diamond, teams including Money Inc and SICKWIDIT. Props to where its due.”

Brandon Papez is averaging 14.0 ppg while Alphonso “Flight” White is averaging 12.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg. Jameel Greenwood is averaging 15.0 ppg while GM Jonathan Wynn is scoring 12.7 ppg.

Buckets vs. Buzz Basketball
DIAMOND DIVISION

M’Jumbe Williams is making a strong case for Rookie of the Season and he is averaging 33.8 ppg. Can he lead Buzz Basketball to the Playoffs.

The buzz surrounding Buzz Basketball has faded in recent weeks and many expected them to take the league by storm. Instead, Warriors have played like Champions, Flava has returned as the Flava of the Season and Taiwan Center is regarded as the up-and-coming rookie team.

Buzz needs to make a statement in their double-header and a 2-0 weekend should do that. Vince Camper is averaging 18.0 ppg while Durwin Williams is averaging 13.7 ppg. Charles Carter leads the team with 13 blocks and he is averaging 5.5 rpg.

“At this point, Buzz is just as good as Buckets,” added a league analyst. “When you’re a former ABA team, you have a target on your back. 3-3 at this point doesn’t bode too well for a former ABA franchise.”

...and please do not use the "The scheduled changed on us" excuse.
When it comes down to it, your team still has to put the ball in the bucket.

We actually asked Sean Harris of the Warriors how it felt to be destroyed by the Buzz....
He had nothing to say but.... "Greetings from the Warriors to you, we're playing in the Championship and you aren't."

We finished 5-3 ....being a former ABA Team means nothing when you are prepared to play a game and when awake the schedule has been changed and players now cant make it and your coach and manager must play...We would take on any team, any time, any where...My email is buzzbasketball@gmail.com, phone is 310.493.4391...I have gyms if anyone wants a game...

You see what we did when half the team was there...M'Jumbe and Vince only played one game together...and we beat Warriors...now if everyone is there we destroy this league...ask Sean Harris of Warriors
