Welcome to the Season Finale. The season comes to an end with several teams in Gold and Platinum Division playing their hearts out. Will they clinch a Playoff berth? Which teams will be eliminated? Because it’s Graduation weekend for several players, we grade each team in their game previews.

“Getting Krunk’d!”

Dipset vs. Krunk’d
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: Krunk’d had a breakout game to end the season as Krunk’d handily beat Dipset, 90-74. GM Ryan Rulloda was terrible on Week 7 and vowed to get his shooting touch after taking 2 weeks off. Rulloda knocked down 12 three-pointers en route to 36 points.

Dipset played 4-on-5 to start the game and the playing field was even once G Jay Rocas arrived and Jim Nguyen switched courts to play with Dipset instead of Got Em. Nguyen had the play of the day after beating his man off the dribble and going for a wide open dunk. Brent Abutin carried the team in the 1st half and he finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Sharp-shooter Sajid Minhas scored 22 points and led the team with 6 three-pointers. For every Minhas 3-ball, Rulloda would answer back.

The game was close throughout the 2nd half but an ankle injury had Nguyen sidelined and Krunk’d pulled away with Nguyen on the bench. Getting hot was Valen Vysosias who finished with 19 points, 4 three’s, and 11 rebounds. Former GM Kevin Urbayan scored 12 points and 4 assists while Alvin Jocson scored most of his 7 points during garbage time.

What’s in a Name: Krunk’d was doing just that on the floor, knocking down every shot they took and the result was 19 three-pointers. They went for the home run in every play in the 2nd half as they pulled away from Dipset after trailing 45-43 at the half.

Likely to Win Accolades: Jim Nguyen, MVP? Ryan Rulloda, Most Improved?

The Fallen vs. Lights Out
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: With graduation and a must-see Lakers game for Lights Out, L.O. showed up late and the result was 16 points awarded to The Fallen. The Fallen coasted and held on for a 68-59 win.

Cyrus Regalado finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Ed Principe led Lights Out in scoring with 21 points. Cay Arellano added 13 while GM Victor Ng finished with 5 points and 7 rebounds. The team lacked focus since the team just came from a Cal Poly Pomona graduation and most of the players were already looking forward to the Lakers-Celtics Finals.

The Fallen saw 4 players score in double figures as Noel Serpas finished with 15 points. Brian Serpas led the team on the boards with 23 while Steven Casanieto was the second leading scorer with 14 points.

What’s in a Name: The Fallen, they are hardly. They had several monikers before such as Hungry Hungry Hippos and De-cepticons, a team known for their defense led by defensive-minded Narob Federico. Ironically, what’s worked for them is their moniker, The Fallen, and word on the street is The Fallen will unleash a new set of unis next season.

Likely to Win Accolades: Jose Betamcourt – Defensive Player of the Season, The Fallen?

Assassins vs. Still Fly
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: After logging their first win of the season, Still Fly felt they had a chance against Assassins. Assassins dominated the glass, 44-19, as the team beat Still Fly, 47-31.

Center Harry Yoo sat out and the result was an under-matched Still Fly team. John Paras led all scorers with 19 points and 6 steals. Steven Kim added 7 points and James Asuncion grabbed 4 rebounds and had 1 block.

Three players logged a double-double for Still Fly as Daniel Smith logged 13 points and 11 rebounds. Tray Von Brown added 10 points and 14 rebounds while Brent Johnson finished with 10 points and 11 boards.

What’s in a Name: You gotta give Still Fly props for sticking with their true LeBronze Division roster. Word on the street is Bomb-Ahh Stars! is their next moniker and they’ll be joining Co-Ed Division soon.

Likely to Win Accolades: While we’re givin props to everyone…props to GM Ron Hernandez for being one of the classiest General Managers in the league. He’s joining Elements next season and rumor has it Brent Johnson will be running his own team next season. Can’t wait…

Assassins vs. Lights Out
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: The front line of Assassins combined for 71 points but was it enough against Lights Out? Four players scored in double figures for L.O. as Lights Out defeat Assassins, 85-79.

It may be an end to an era for Assassins as GM Ron Hernandez has gone on record to say there will be no Assassins next season. The Season Finale meant C Brent Johnson was going to come out firing and he finished with 28 points and 2 rebounds. Daniel Smith added 28 points and 13 rebounds while Tray Von Brown added 15 points and 13 rebounds.

What’s in a Name: Lights Out shot lights out as Cyrus Regalado went for 26 points and 6 rebounds and Francis De La Victoria shot for 28 points and 5 three-pointers. Kevin Valmonte added 10 points while GM Victor Ng scored 11 points and grabbed 4 boards. Despite being out-worked on the glass, 38-18, Lights Out overcame the difference with a high field goal percentage and Francis De La Victoria’s sharp-shooting. Francis knocked down 5 three-pointers in the 1st half.

Likely to Win Accolades: We’re still wondering how Victor Ng got Fantasy Player of the Season for Assassins several years ago. Cyrus has all-around stats, will he claim that honor this season?

D-League DT vs. Pharcyde
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: D-League DT - Forfeit

Boxed Out vs. Pharcyde
LeBRONZE DIVISION

The result: Forfeit - Pharcyde
