After a long Thanksgiving Break, the Season Finale is here. Teams are trying to make the Playoffs and players are putting up unbelievable numbers. Kenneth Ubom is on pace to break the season scoring record while Robbie Banks is 7 blocks away from breaking the blocks record. Will both players make history on the last Regular Season game this decade?
Thrillers vs. D-League DT
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Last minute changes and scheduling conflicts left the scheduling committee no choice but to schedule a re-match between Thrillers and D-League DT.
Leomar Cachola easily tied the steals record with 9 steals on Week 7. Guard Paulo Montoya was a shadow of himself after partying the night before and he finished with 10 points and 2 steals in the 62-56 loss. Cachola led the team with 22 points and he finished with 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
Thrillers owned the glass, 38-16 and they were led by Kris Carrillo's 10 points and 14 rebounds. Mark Baron finished with 19 points while Danny Martinez scored 24 points and 4 three-pointers.
Wii Not Krunk vs. Trinicousins
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Black Finger Tribe had cold feet when reality sunk and a very, very last minute schedule request has Wii Not Krunk playing against Trinicousins. The two played against each other on Week 1 with Trinicousins beating Wii Not Krunk, 46-34.
How much has Wii Not Krunk improved in the last few weeks? Has Trinicousins lost their mojo after losing 2 straight games? This would be the perfect time for Wii Not Krunk to answer those questions as the two face each other for the second time this season.
Chris Javate led Wii with 11 points and 2 rebounds. Andrew Chen finished with 7 points and 8 rebounds while Essex Viste finished with 4 points and 2 rebounds. GM Ryan Rulloda continues to sit out just so his players can get playing time and he is a GM of the Season candidate in LeBronze.
Ryan Basco led all scorers with 22 points and he's out for revenge this week. He'd like to end the season on a good note so look for him to play with a lot of intensity. DJ Gabriel has dominated the post and last time, he finished with 13 rebounds and 7 points. GM Michael Santa Maria is a candidate for GM of the Season as well and there's no question more teams are wanting to play in LeBronze just to play against Trinicousins.
"A lot of teams requested to play them this season," said a league analyst. "There's a lot of hype anytime you have to play against Trinicousins..."
Dipset vs. D-League DT
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Dipset will look to sit out their "Platinum-type" players as they take on D-League DT in the Season Finale.
"We want everyone to get their playing time after we hogged so much of it on Rivalry Week," said the team's General Manager, Jim Nguyen.
Haters are quick to say the team has 3 Platinum Division players and the team is too stacked to play in LeBronze. If you actually watch the games, you'll notice that there was a time when all 3 (Jim Nguyen, Desmond Ann, and Walter Tamidles) all sat out and the team still beat out their opponent and a lot of that has to do with their role players. They're 5-2 because Center Brent Abutin (9.4 ppg) has stepped up in key games and Dennis Viray is one of the division's top defenders (1.2 spg, 4.4 rpg). You wouldn't expect Matt Frock to shoot the ball yet his 7 three-pointers his season came in huge moments and he is averaging 8.0 ppg.
D-League DT is 2-4 and if GM Leomar Cachola gets help from Justin Padiernos (11.2 ppg) and Paulo Montoya (11.3 ppg), it should be an interesting game. As competitive as Cachola is, it's hard to just coach on the sidelines and he usually finds himself wanting to play in LeBronze. Initially it was just for his friends to get better but this season, he's finding a lot of time on the floor. Will he trust his teammates much like Dipset has trusted their role players? Temporarily you'll stack up in losses but in the long run, your team should develop, just ask Dipset.
Black Finger Tribe vs. Kuyahood
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Kuyahood is 1-6 and they are led by GM AJ Francisco. Francisco is averaging 7.7 ppg and he is dishing 3.4 apg. Alex Ho is averaging 11.2 ppg while Aaron Wong is the second leading scorer with 11.5 ppg. Wong has a team-high 11 three-pointers while Ho leads the team on the boards with 44.
Scheduling conflicts made the re-match possible and the last time these two teams met, Kuyahood nearly upset Black Finger Tribe in a comeback victory. Two missed free throws made is possible for BFT to hold on but on the Season Finale, anything can happen.
Andre McNeil won't get his wish of playing against Trinicousins since BFT scheduled for a late change on Saturday evening. McNeil leads the division with 13.3 rpg and he is averaging 13.3 ppg. Nick Vasquez is averaging 9.1 ppg while GM Kameron Johnson is averaging 8.3 ppg, 3.3 apg.
Elements vs. Wockeez
LEBRONZE DIVISION
Wockeez are 2-5 while Elements have yet to win a game this season. Elements' former teammates would like to keep them winless this season while their point guard, "Uno-Dos" just wants his assists title. It's been that kind of a season for Wockeez - team that has players playing with different agendas.
Uno Dos leads the division with 36 assists and he is averaging 12.7 ppg. Ranking 3rd in three-pointers with 22, Uno Dos is lucky turnovers isn't an official stat in the league, otherwise he'd be the front-runner. James Santillan is averaging 7.0 ppg while Harry Yoo is averaging 13.5 ppg in two games. Tino Aldaco is the team's Center and he is averaging 13.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg.
Rosan Bernardino leads the team with 23.0 ppg and he is averaging a double-double with 10.8 rpg. Point guard James Bernardo is averaging 9.9 ppg, 2.7 apg while JR Penaranda is averaging 5.3 ppg, 9.9 rpg. The team has played with a depleted roster all season and another loss could mark Elements' second season without a win. Elements should come out with a lot of intensity hoping to avoid another loss otherwise, they're looking at making history in the wrong way.
