30's Rock vs. Stamina
WOMEN'S DIVISION

Because of the Lady Air forfeit, the 1 hour delay on the small court turned to a 10 minute delay and the games were finally on pace with the schedule. Stamina, the victim of the court delay a few hours later, decided to show up late and the result was a 22 point lead (11 minutes late) in favor of 30's Rock. Stamina cut the deficit to 10 points as 30's Rock win their first game of the season with a 40-30 victory.

Crystal Fausto finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds while Tiffany S. added 12 points and 3 steals. Monica Tokoro led the team with 3 points and 2 rebounds.

Samantha Cordero finished with a game high 11 points and had 3 assists, also a team-high. Virginia Vasquez finished with 4 points and 2 rebounds while GM Elizabeth Skiles led the team with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Skiles finished with the most blocks this season in the Women's Division with 7 blocks and she averaged 1.7 bpg.


USUCK vs. SICKWIDIT
DIAMOND DIVISION

Both teams showed up with just 5 players but it was SICKWIDIT that won with a lop-sided victory, 95-62.

Larry Parker led all players with 8 assists and he finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The near triple-double gave Parker his first Player of the Week honor. Center Pierre Baker finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds while James Griffin added 22 points and 4 three-pointers. GM Tino Aldaco logged 10 points and 4 rebounds while Russ Loya scored 14 points and had 5 assists. The Baldwin Park team toyed with USUCK all game long logging 22 assists and grabbing 41 rebounds.

SICKWIDIT started the game playing 5-on-4 and never relinquished the lead. USUCK would narrow the deficit down to 8 points but SICKWIDIT would use their running game to run away with the ball game.

Kenneth Ubom finished with 29 points and 4 three-pointers as he claimed the division title in scoring. Ubom claimed the scoring title and finished with the most steals in both Diamond and Platinum Division this season. Amos Battle and Osh Dabbas both added 14 points while Ray Hong led the team with 5 assists. Will USUCK show up with a full roster come Playoff time? Several key players for both teams were M.I.A. and a full roster could be the key difference in this Fall 2009 Playoffs. USUCK will take on Warriors while SICKWIDIT will face the defending Champions, B3 Sports.


Unfinished Business vs. Stamina
WOMEN'S DIVISION

Unfinished Business spent so much time trying to play on the main court, they forgot they had a game to play against Stamina. In a smaller court playing with just 4 players, Stamina dominated Unfinished Business, 108-48.

Volleyball practice for Pioneer High School led to a 1 hour delay on the smaller basketball court. The main gym only has lines on the main court and converting the main gym to two games running sideways was never an option. LeBronze Division games and Women's Division games were all assigned to play on the smaller court while the more competitive Diamond and Platinum Division games were played on the main court.

"They should have worried more about their match-up against Stamina instead of worrying about what basketball court they were playing on," said a stats-keeper. "They got ran all over and it would have been worse if they were playing on the main court."

Amanda Aoun finished with 29 points while the rest of the team combined for 19.

Stamina had three players score 20+ points. Crystal Fausto finished with 27 while Monica Hang added 24 points and 5 rebounds. Brenda Chavez finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds while Christina Ledesma led all scorers with 31 points and 7 boards.
