Season XV - GM Meeting
LEAGUE MEETING
I. Code of Conduct
a. ZERO TOLERANCE for FIGHTING.
b. As a courtesy, please clean up trash after the end of the game.
c. Keep trash-talking at minimal. Officials have the right to sit out players. A double tech will warrant a 1 game suspension. (Please read the rules on the website)
d. Fans Conduct (Refrain from offensive taunting, techs will be given out for excessive taunting and fans may be removed from the stands.)
II. Location
a. Gyms this season:
i. Walnut Rec (full schedule after February 14)
ii. Marshall Middle School, 2 are pending
III. Web
a. Historically, the first 2 weeks is off because teams are still finalizing their rosters. After Week 3 – Week 4, everything should be accurate.
b. Sortable stats will be available AFTER Week 2.
c. Please make all schedule requests on the FORUM. Week 1 – Week 8 is already on the Forum. Last change to the schedule will take place on Thursday night.
i. Monday evening – game logs are up.
ii. Tentative schedule: SCHEDULE REQUEST done ONLY IN FORUMS.
iii. Wednesday – recaps completed
iv. Thursday – sortable stats updated, schedule on the web is finalized
IV. Roster Management
(ALL PLAYER TRANSACTIONS SHOULD BE DONE ON FORUMS. This includes trades, moving players down from one division to another. Everything must be documented.)
a. Last day to ADD player is 3rd game / Week 3.
i. Only names on game logs will be accepted.
ii. Names that are added via e-mail, text will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED.
iii. Names that are added via e-mail, text will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED.
b. Last day to trade a player from your team to another is Week 4
i. DONE ON THE FORUMS FOR APPROVAL. BOTH GMS must approve
ii. Players may not play on the same week. Both GMs must approve of trade.
c. Last day to move players between affiliate teams is Week 6.
d. NO-RINGERS. The stats-keeper and the opposing General Manager may ask the player in question.
i. If a team is discovered using “ringers”, the game would result in a forfeit.
ii. Stats won’t count for both teams.
iii. Team that tries to bring a ringer in will be fined 80 dollars.
e. Players must bring PHOTO ID. Stats-keepers have the authority not to allow a player to participate if the player does not bring photo ID.
V. FINES
a. $80 - Reinstatement fee for teams that uses “ringers”.
b. $80 - Reinstatement fee for teams that forfeit.
c. $40 - Return fee for all checks that bounce.
d. $25 - Reinstatement fee for any suspended player involved in altercations.
e. $5 - Failure to leave the bench clean will result in a $5 fine. Stats-keepers, refs, staff may assess the fine but there must be photographic evidence showing exact time and date.
VII. PLAYOFFS
1. If there are more than 20 teams in a division, top 12 teams will advance to the Playoffs. (top 4 teams – bye 1st Round)
2. If there are more than 30 teams in a division, top 16 teams will advance to the Playoffs.
3. If there are more than 10 teams in a division, top 8 teams will advance to the Playoffs.
4. If there are less than 10 teams in a division, top 6 teams will advance to the Playoffs. (top 2 teams – bye 1st Round)
VI. FAQ
Are jersey numbers really required ON THE FRONT this season?
Yes. They’ll call technical fouls after Week 3.
No more Diamond Division players in Gold Rule?
The only division that suffers from that rule is Diamond. More teams are abandoning the higher division to play in Gold. Division Type Rules will be back this season. (Found in PLAYERS section)
What will happen to the rule – 2 players from a higher division will be allowed to play in a lower division team?
Gold Division will be allowed 2 players from Platinum Division.
Platinum Division will be allowed 2 players from Diamond Division.
How come there’s no more co-GM’s in LeBronze?
Everyone and their moms was trying to play in LeBronze…
Can we have Playoffs in LeBronze?
H-E-double hockey sticks, No. For the 100th time, NO.
When will schedule be finalized?
Thursday night. I work on Fridays and Saturdays now (Bliss Media Works), so I won’t have access to the computer to make the se changes. NO EXCEPTIONS except for Week 1. =)
Here’s the $600, are we good?
$550 price expired mid-December, $580 price expired on New Year’s and $600 expired last week. Only Returning teams are eligible for Sale prices! This rewards our veteran teams for sticking around. Only GMs and original team will be rewarded with special sale prices.
What happened to Superstar Radio?
People weren’t listening for a while, they would always say they turn it off. Now that there’s demand for it again, I guess I’ll bring it back. Moral of the story, don’t take it for granted.
Your refs suck. Can we get some new refs?
I tried. Those refs sucked even more. These are the best refs available and they do a great job at enforcing the rules.
The golden rule – treat others how you want to be treated.
